The high-level bilateral engagement centered on shifting Africa’s development trajectory from policy ideation to rapid infrastructure implementation, with a strong focus on joint public-private sector ventures across Southern Africa and the broader continent.

Highlighting Botswana’s readiness to anchor regional integration, President Boko emphasized that the continent possesses the requisite institutional capacity, capital, and entrepreneurial leadership to drive its own growth agenda without relying on external interventions.

As a concrete step toward regional connectivity, President Boko disclosed ongoing bilateral negotiations with Namibia regarding the expedited construction of the Trans-Kalahari rail corridor.

He called for the immediate operationalization of the project and invited regional pension funds and private equity investors to participate in co-financing the strategic transit route.

Echoing the President's position, Aliko Dangote urged African political and business leaders to take decisive ownership of the continent’s industrial roadmap rather than waiting for foreign direct investment.

Dangote underscored the imperative for aggressive, synchronized collaboration between sovereign governments and private enterprise to reshape international market perceptions and demonstrate Africa’s bankability across key sectors.

Stressing political momentum to the initiative, Vice President Ndaba Gaolathe stressed that structured public-private partnerships remain the primary engine for sustainable job creation, industrial capacity building, and long-term economic resilience across African markets.
