Anambra State has reaffirmed its dominance in Nigeria’s education sector, clinching nine major honours at the 2025 President’s Teachers and Schools Excellence Awards held on Sunday in Abuja.
Leading the pack, Woliwo Primary School II, Onitsha, emerged as the Overall Best School in Nigeria, a feat that underscores the state’s tradition of academic excellence and innovation. The remarkable outing also saw Pinkberry International School, Odume, Obosi, named First Runner-up for Best Approved Private School, while Emmanuel Ndibe of St. Theresa’s Secondary School, Enugwu Ukwu, received recognition as First Runner-up in the Approved Private Senior Secondary School category.
