The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has announced an increase of 80.12% in trading surplus for the month of December 2020 which stands at ₦24.19billion compared to the ₦13.43billion surplus recorded in November 2020.
This is contained in the December 2020 edition of the NNPC Monthly Financial and Operations Report (MFOR), according to a press release by the Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division of the Corporation, Dr. Kennie Obateru.

Despite the enactment of the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCS) Act 2019 which provides for non-custodial sentencing, overcrowding of inmates is still major problem confronting the service, Acting Comptroller General of Corrections, John Mrabure said on Wednesday.

The Acting CG said since the implementation of the Act began, personnel of the service have been blind to the full potentials of the new law and require training to grasp the full provisions of the law.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has refuted media reports which berated the agency purportedly by the Secretary to the State Government in Katsina State, Alhaji Mustapha Inuwa, saying it was out of contest and complete falsehood, reports ITREALMS.
Reacting to the report, the Assistant Corps Marshal, Corps Public Education Officer, FRSC, Mr. Bisi Kazeem, told ITREALMS that their has been drawn to a fabricated and fake statement credited to the Secretary to the Government of Katsina State Alhaji Mustapha Inuwa, in a publication by one Agaju Madugba which was published in the Sun News of Tuesday, 24 March, 2021.

Ubani Vs FG: Court orders extension of NIN by 2 months - ITREALMS

A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos Tuesday, ordered the extension of the deadline for National Identity Number (NIN) by two months effective from Tuesday, March 23, 2021, reports 
ITREALMS.

In a fundamental rights enforcement action instituted by Barr. Monday Onyekachi Ubani at the Federal High Court, Lagos, against Federal Government of Nigeria, Attorney General of the Federation, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), and Minister of Communications and Digital Economy (MoCDE) seeking enforcement of his fundamental rights as guaranteed by the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

ITREALMS gathered Barr Ubani had contended that the initial two weeks ultimatum but now extended to 6th day of April, 2021, given to telecommunication operators to block SIM cards of Nigerians who have not registered their SIM cards with NIN if allowed, will infringe on his constitutionally guaranteed right to freedom of expression, right to own moveable property and right to life. 
Ubani, therefore prayed the court for an order halting the said ultimatum and extending the deadline.

The Ogun State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps has in a quick response to a distress call, rescued passengers by arresting a drunk driver who was spotted driving so recklessly in such a manner that could lead to road traffic crashes.

According to Bisi Kazeem, the Corps Public Education Officer, the drunk driver was arrested in Kyakyama, Ogere, Ogun State at about 1335HRS when the Sector Commander received a distress call from a passenger who noticed the dangerous way the driver of the vehicle she boarded was driving.

Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, on Thursday met with leaders of market men and women in the state, declaring that he was ready to put in place policies to boost economic growth.

The governor, who stated this at an event held at the Government House, Agodi, Ibadan, added that he would continue to pursue programmes and policies that will make life comfortable for everyone.
