Olori Janet Afolabi, a distinguished CNN award-winning journalist and the Queen of Apomu Kingdom, has extended her generosity to the people of Apomu by distributing 150 bags of 50kg rice in celebration of the Ileya Festival, reports ITREALMS.

In a bid to promote long-term food security, she also inaugurated a food bank in the historic town of Apomu, Osun State, reinforcing her commitment to community welfare and sustainable support.

The Aliko Dangote Foundation (ADF), Thursday, commenced the distribution of 2025 Annual National Food Intervention Project (ANFIP) valued at N16billion, targeted at one million Nigerians, reports ITREALMS.

Speaking at the ceremony in Kano, chairman of the Aliko Dangote Foundation, Mr. Aliko Dangote, said the distribution of one million bags of 10kg rice to the poor and most vulnerable Nigerians in the 774 Local Government Areas is in line with the core values of his company and Foundation.

The Customs Officers' Wives Association, (COWA) Onne chapter,  has started distributing rice, vegetable oil and other food items to cushion the effects of hardship in the country among her members, orphans and especially wives of the fallen heroes and the less privileged.

Speaking during the distribution of the materials at Customs Barracks Ebubu Eleme, Rivers state, weekend, the Chairperson of COWA Onne, Customs command, Mrs. Yakaka Baba Imam said she was motivated by the kind-heartedness of the COWA National President, Mrs. Kikelomo Adeniyi who has taken it upon herself to improve the welfare of members.

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), on Saturday, began the distribution of flyers and posters across the South-East to notify residents of the cancellation of sit-at-home exercise in the region, reports ITREALMS.

The pro-Biafran group said the exercise is aimed at conveying Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s pronouncement cancelling Monday sit-at-home and to inform the people that sit-at-home is not only “dead,” but will also never again be invoked or deployed as a tool of civil disobedience in the group’s quest for self-determination.
