Nigeria’s leading civic-tech whistleblower for fiscal transparency, BudgIT, has raised an alarm over the country’s 20-year hiatus from conducting a national census, warning that the federal government is effectively governing by guesswork, reports ITREALMS.
In a press statement released Friday and made available to ITREALMS, the organization urged the Federal Government and the National Assembly to prioritize a credible National Population and Housing Census before the 2027 general elections derail administrative focus.
