NNPC reassures Kebbi State on renewable energy project - ITREALMS

The Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has restated its commitment to the partnership with the Government of Kebbi State for the production of biofuels, describing the project as viable and in tandem with the global transition to renewable energy.

The Group Managing Director of the NNPC, Mallam Mele Kyari, disclosed this while receiving the Governor of Kebbi State, Senator Atiku Bagudu, who paid him a courtesy visit in his office on Thursday.

The Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, has said that robust digital infrastructure and literacy are key to reaping the transformational benefits of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) across public and private institutions in the country, reports 
ITREALMS.
Danbatta stated this when he received a delegation of the Top Management Committee (TMC) of the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano (AKTH), who paid him a courtesy visit at the Kano Zonal Office of the Commission at the weekend.

Nigerians woke up on Friday, April 2, 2021, to discover they couldn’t recharge their MTN lines from their banks. It wasn’t another April fool’s prank. It was a real move by Nigerian banks to punish MTN for having the audacity to suggest reducing the margins on the commission for selling MTN credit to subscribers.
One wonders about the sort of thinking that prompted the banks to cut off over 75 million MTN subscribers from recharging via the USSD platform. Did they consider the pain of the subscribers or impact on the economy? Or was it a case of all is fair in war? It was a brutal tactic, one that sadly appears, in the short term, to have won.

Governor 'Seyi Makinde (GSM) of Oyo State explained that the state government's determination to encourage healthy living among the teeming civil/public servants and visitors to the Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan, led to its partnership with AwaBikeNG, a bike-sharing and lifestyle start-up platform.
The governor, who stated this on Thursday, shortly after taking a ride on one of the bicycles nicknamed 'Keke Seyi' from the Governor's Office to the Water Corporation Building inside the Secretariat, said that the initiative would also help to promote a green environment.
