The management of FirstBank has declared as unfounded and false, a media report making a round over an alleged fraud by a customer, Dr. Agbai Eke, reports ITREALMS.
An official press statement available to ITREALMS, the bank informed they have been made of a recent publication by Thisday Newspaper, Arise Television and a video circulating, regarding a court case filed by a customer, Dr. Agbai Eke, against FirstBank.
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) would continue to collaborate with the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI) and all relevant stakeholders in the reconciliation committee set up by President Bola Tinubu to investigate, review and reconcile the financial records on alleged indebtedness to the Federation by both NNPC Limited and Federation Accounts Allocation Committee, FAAC, reports ITREALMS.
This is coming on the heels of calls by a non-governmental organisation for a probe of several monies allegedly owed to the Federation by the national oil company.
The Nigeria Army has replied the former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode on his viral video which accused the military of complicity in the recent terrorism attacks, especially that of Kuje Prison in which over 800 inmates were set free, denying all allegations and describing it as unsubstantiated, reports ITREALMS.
Director, Defence Information at Defence Headquarters, Major General Jimmy Akpor in a press statement available to ITREALMS on Saturday, said that their attention has been drawn to a video produced by Femi Fani-Kayode, wherein he made wild and unsubstantiated allegations against the Armed Forces of Nigeria, regarding the recent spate of terrorist attacks particularly, the attack of the prison in Kuje - Abuja on 5 July 2022.
