The latest entrant into the Nigeria’s cloud service market,
Garanntor, has said its offering affordable range of cloud services, reports
ITRealms.
Disclosing this, the Managing Director of RackCentre, Mr.
Ayotunde Coker in the company of the Head, Marketing, Communications &
Finance, Mr. Ejieke Maduka Ezeadigwu, said Garanntor was born to answer to the
request of the clients that need a local cloud service that meet international
standards at an affordable price.
Garanntor, he said, offers web hosting, virtual private
servers, cloud servers, cloud backup disaster recovery content delivery
network, colocation and electronic mail (email) hosting.
The company infrastructure services, he said, has been
planned to start with the prerogative of offering servers able to give the best
performance.
“In order to remain faithful to this goal, we turned upside
down the principle that all the other providers adopt,” he said, stressing that
this principle made Garanntor to start from the performance they wanted to
offer and then plan the architecture to fit these demands.
Garanntor, he said, runs on OnApps complete infrastructure
management software platform with Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM) on Hypervisor
Level.
He explained that OnApp is an end-to-end solution for
private, public and hybride cloud management, with multi-HV, multi-location and
multi-cloud support; automation for a huge range of virtual and dedicated
applicances; a complete set of orchestration and go-to market tools as well as
the industry’s most intuitive, customizable admin and end-user portal.
“We host on reliable and high-performance supermicro blade
servers with dual 20 core Intel Xeon E5-2630 v4 Central Processing Units (CPUs),”
he said, which is made up of 2.2 Gega Hertz cum 25 Mega Bytes Cache, therefore
offering fast storage using both Solid State Drive (SSD) and Hard Disk Drives (HDD).
Further, he said that Garanntor comes to town with storage
based on OnApp Integrated Storage which is a high-performance distributed SAN
built into the OnApp cloud platform, which gives customers fast, resilient and
scalable storage for your cloud, without having to compromise performance with
a software Storage Area Network (SAN).
On the security, he assured that every Garanntor server is
protected by a Front End and a Back End firewall which could be excluded by
associating the public Internet Protocol (IP) address directly to the server or
to clients own firewall.
Specifically on pricing model, he said, Garanntor has
resolved to offer recurring fixed price which is a widespread model, emphasizing
that this affords clients to purchase a plan that consists in the allocation of
an instance such as a cloud server that has constant resources through time and
a fixed price, thus recurring fixed price plans have a duration of at least a
month circle.
