The Chairperson of the Customs Officers Wives Association (COWA), Onne Area 11 Command, Hajia Amina Babandede, has emphasized the organization's dedication to nurturing children's creativity and innovative potential during the 2025 Children's Day celebration, reports ITREALMS.

The event took place at the command's staff quarters in Ebubu, Eleme Local Government Area, Rivers State.

The Customs Officers' Wives Association, (COWA) Onne chapter,  has started distributing rice, vegetable oil and other food items to cushion the effects of hardship in the country among her members, orphans and especially wives of the fallen heroes and the less privileged.

Speaking during the distribution of the materials at Customs Barracks Ebubu Eleme, Rivers state, weekend, the Chairperson of COWA Onne, Customs command, Mrs. Yakaka Baba Imam said she was motivated by the kind-heartedness of the COWA National President, Mrs. Kikelomo Adeniyi who has taken it upon herself to improve the welfare of members.

The Customs Officers' Wives Association (COWA) Onne Area 11 Command has commissioned a Secretariat, Canteen and unisex Salon, donates food items to widows of the Command, reports ITREALMS.

The association, ITREALMS gathered that the measure was part of efforts to improve the welfare of officers’ wives at the Port Harcourt Area 11 Customs Command, Onne Rivers State.

The National President of the Customs Officers' Wives Association (COWA), Mrs. Kikelomo Adeniyi, has paid a maiden visit to the Nigeria Customs Service Zone C, Zonal Headquarters Area 1, in Port Harcourt Rivers, reports ITREALMS.

She also declared her focus on specific areas of needs of her members to enable them effectively set up and manage businesses without compromising their duties on the home front.
