Apex telecommunications regulator, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and the Association of Licensed Telecommunications Operators of Nigeria (ALTON) have drummed support for the 2021 edition of the ITREALMS E-Waste Dialogue scheduled at Adam’s Hall, Welcome Centre Hotels, International Airport Road, Ikeja, Lagos by 9am next Thursday.
Just as experts from the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA), Environmental Health Officers Registration Council of Nigeria (EHORECON) and E-Waste Producer Responsibility Organisation of Nigeria (EPRON) to name a few, have lined up to dissect the theme of the dialogue “e-Waste in Nigeria: Consumer as key to Circular Economy & 20 years of GSM."

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has confirmed it received bid for the licensing of the Fifth-Generation (5G) to three telecom licensees at the end of the deadline by December 1, reports ITREALMS.
The Director, Public Affairs at NCC, Dr. Ikechukwu Adinde disclosed this to ITREALMS revealing that by close of bid submission date on November 29, 2021 MTN, Mafab and Airtel successfully sent in the required documents as contained in the Information Memoranda (IM) as published earlier.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has denied moving deadline for the Fifth-Generation (5G)  because only MTN submitted bid, reports

It is now confirmed that the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has finally issued authority for the opening of the Anambra International Cargo And Passenger Airport for commercial operations with effect from Thursday, December 2, 2021, reports ITREALMS.

The approval letter dated 1st December, 2021 sighted by ITREALMS was addressed to the Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano and signed by the Director-General of NCAA, Captain Musa S. Nuhu and copied to the Honourable Minister of Aviation, the aviation authority said that it has received security clearance from relevant security agencies for the opening.

In its commitment to implement the Strategic RoadMap and Action Plan SRAP 2021-2024, the National Information Technology Development Agency NITDA, has identified Innovation and Entrepreneurship, a pillar in the SRAP document, as one of the driving forces to place Nigeria as a key entrepreneurial country in Africa, and that will become the basis of collaboration between NITDA and Baze University.
The Director General of NITDA, Mallam Kashifu Inuwa, made this assertion at the 1st Baze University’s ‘Information Technology, Research, and Innovation week’ in Abuja.

The parents of 16-year old Oluwaferanmi David Aladegbonmire have sent a Save-Our-Soul (SOS) appeal to good hearted citizens to help save the life of their son who was diagnosed with brain tumor in October 2021.
Feranmi, shortly after his WAEC at the Staff Secondary School, Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), was diagnosed with brain tumor. His parents have been moving him from different hospitals to save his life while he is currently in coma and on oxygen for over a month at Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH). In fact, he spent his last birthday 21/11/2021 on the sick bed.

NCC toasts Oshadami's CIO award - ITREALMS

The status of the Nigerian Communications Commission as a flagship public sector brand, got another fillip, yesterday, as Engr. Abraham Oshadami, a Deputy Director at the Commission and Head of Spectrum Database Management, was declared winner of the CIO OF THE YEAR AWARD for Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), a nomenclature for one of the awards to the public sector group.

The Award, conferred on Oshadami at Oriental Hotel Lagos on 26th November, 2021, “celebrates and honours successful and outstanding individuals and organisations that are using digital innovation and information technology systems to bring about real growth and transformation to businesses”. Oshadami was Head of NCC’s Information Technology Department since 2016 until 1st September, 2021 when he was reassigned to Spectrum Administration Department in keeping with Commission’s strategic realignment.
