Wole Adedoyin, has strongly dismissed the persistent claim that APGA is merely an "Igbo party," labeling the assertion as false, misleading, and a deliberate attempt to misrepresent the party's national identity and political strength, reports ITREALMS.

Adedoyin, who was the party's Chairmanship Candidate for Ilesa West Local Government in the last election, insisted that APGA, like the PDP and the APC, is a fully registered national political party with constitutional presence across all states in the federation.

Finally, the Supreme Court has put an end to the long-standing leadership dispute in the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) by confirming Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa as the authentic National Chairman of the party, reports ITREALMS.

A five-member panel of the apex court in a judgement read by Justice Stephen Adah, held that Edozie Njoku was wrongly laying claim to APGA chairmanship.

The wife of the Governor of Anambra State, and founder of the NGO, Caring Family Enhancement Initiative (CAFE), Chief (Mrs.) Ebelechukwu Obiano (Osodieme) has alerted members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), political aspirants and the public to beware of the activities of unscrupulous individuals and influence peddlers who are going around promising political aspirants tickets in her name for the forthcoming party primaries and warned such persons to desist forthwith, reports ITREALMS.

Her Chief Media Officer, Emeka Ozumba in a press statement made available to ITREALMS quoted Osodieme as saying that she does not decide who gets APGA ticket neither has she mandated anybody to enter into discussions nor negotiations with APGA aspirants, warning that those using her name for such schemes if caught will be handed over to the security agencies.

"As a loyal party member, I stand by the promise of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of APGA, His Excellency, Governor Willie Obiano which guarantees that APGA primaries will be free and fair. I have made no promises, endorsement or pact with any candidate. My candid advice to aspirants is to go out there with confidence and sell your programmes and plans for the people to the delegates. Trust in the Lord and do not give in to such fraudulent tales claiming that I have endorsed anybody," she said.

Furthermore, Osodieme charged all APGA aspirants: "Do not solicit or give anybody money on my behalf. Let your credentials speak for you, and remember that at the end there will only be one winner for every position. I wish you all the very best of luck.”

Easter Message: Opara-Ndudu assures APGA will raise Imo again

An Imo governorship aspirant for 2019 gubernatorial election on the ticket of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Nick Opara-Ndudu, has sent an Easter greeting to Imo State citizens in the country and Diaspora, urging them not to lose hope as the state “will rise again” if given  the mantle of leadership of the state next year, reports ITRealms.

  In the Easter greeting titled “Imo Will Rise Again”,  which is contained in a video message now circulating in the country and other parts of the world,  Opara-Ndudu told  Imolites to emulate the virtues of Jesus Christ as epitomised by his passion, persecution, death and resurrection during Easter, and to pray to the Almighty God to give them the grace to come together to build a state that both present and future generations would take pride in, by taking inspiration from the teachings of Christ.

The former Imo commissioner promised quality and purposeful leadership that will bring about the transformation of the state and improved quality of the lives of the citizens, which he said has deteriorated in the last seven years, adding that the transformation would touch all sectors of the economy of the state.

 He pledged to overhaul the economy by reviving the agriculture and industrial sectors as well as providing quality education, security, health, housing, road  network, if given the mandate to run the state on the ticket of APGA.  All of these are contained in his blueprint which, he said  would  soon be unveiled.

A Chartered Accountant by training, Oparad-Ndudu, who spent over two decades in the banking sector and rising to the position of a Deputy Managing Director, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy from University of Nigeria Nsukka. He has also attended training programmes in  economics, banking and finance, as well as management  within and outside the country.

While in the banking sector, he provided useful financial advice and facilities that enabled many small and medium businesses, across the length and breadth of the country, to grow bigger and now adding values to the economy of the country.

This, combined with his public sector experience, the former bank boss said he  has the required experience of working in a structured environment and the disciplined approach to accomplishing tasks that come with such exposure and experience. These are qualities that would come handy in addressing the rapacious destruction of the civil service bureaucracy and non compliance with due process in the state.

A practicing Catholic Christian and an indigene of Emekuku, Owerri North Local Government of Imo State, Opara-Ndudu said   “I have spent the better part of the past six months building up a network of concerned Imo Citizens to confront the monster that is before us.

As a former student union leader and a veteran of such struggles, I am supremely confident that the will of Imo people (and not cash ) shall prevail in due time and season. And together, Imo will rise again.”

If APC had won, the traditional institutions in Anambra State would have been turned into a laughing stock. More so, Obi of Onitsha, that fine Gentleman, would be dethroned by the Government of the day and replaced with a Bootlicking Traditional Ruler. Eze Alfred Achebe would go to Court and obtain a judgment for his reinstatement, but they would disregard, scorn and despise it. Ask any Imolite.

If APC had won, all the houses and structures lying beside the already solidly asphalted Ekwulobia Ezinifite road, Ndiokwu-Amikpa-Oki Umuchi road, Nsogwu Umunze road, Oye Neni-Adazi Nnukwu-Akwaeze-Igboukwu road, Agulu Nwanchi-Obeledu-Neni road by Obiano Administration would be demolished for the sake of needless expansion. And after the expansion, that part of the road would delapidate in 3months. Ask any Imolite.

If APC had won, those roads mentioned above would be momentarily motorable at yuletide and will be washed away with the first heavy rain of the rainy season. Ask any Imolite.

If APC had constructed those 3 Flyovers in Awka, it would not have been that solid. It would have been done with Blocks. The Aroma Bridge, the Bridges in Amawbia and Kwata, the two Bridges and 5-Cell Culvert in Awgbu-Ndiukwuenu-Awa-Ufuma axis would have been constructed with Headpans and Barrows by unskilled Labourers. Ask any Imolite.

If APC had won, first two months of resumption of duty would be Operation Demolish Markets. Onitsha Main Market, Ogidi Building Material Market, International Electronics Market Onitsha and Nkwo Nnewi Market would be demolished. And hunger and penury will be unleashed on Anambrarians. If APC had been there in the last four years, Orumba General Hospital would not have been refurbished and re-equipped. Onitsha General Hospital wouldnt have been rehabilitated. Ultra Modern Clinic wouldn't have been set up in Adazi Ani and Onitsha. Rather, 21 gigantic Structures would have been conspicuously built in all the 21 Local Governments of Anambra with none of them equipped or staffed. Ask any Imolite.

If APC had been there in the last four years, the Agricultural revolution which the government launched in Nteje, Oyi Local Government Area, the $150m which the government attracted from Coscharis Farm Project in Anaku and the $50m the government attracted from the Songhai/Delfarms integrated Organic Farm Project in Igbariam which has made the State an Exporter of Farm Produce in Europe would have been replaced with "ikuola nkwu" slogan. The State wouldnt have been flooding the Markets with Anambra Rice which is competing favourably with other brands in the markets. Ask any Imolite.

If APC had won, these monumental agricultural activities going on in Igbariam and Anaku will cease in less than 6months of assumption of power. Ask any Imolite.

If APC had won, Pensioners in Anambra State who had enjoyed prompt payment of their deserved Pension would receive dud Cheques subsequently. Ask any Imolite.

If APC had won, Civil Servants in Anambra state who have as well enjoyed prompt payment of salaries would have these wages impiously slashed and paid in bits and pieces after it had been in arrears for nothing less than 6months. And there may not be any promotion for Civil Servants for another 4years. Ask any Imolite.

If APC had won, Anambra State would host African Presidents and honour them with Life-size Statues in Awka while Achebe, Ojukwu and Osadebe watch from the celestial sidelines in silent envy. Ask any Imolite.

In addition to that, popular roads in Awka like Works Road, Dike Street which runs into Zik Avenue, Obunagu Road, Dr. S.M Okeke Avenue, Nwibor Street, Ken Okoli Street, Chukwuogor Street etc, will all change their age-long identities and take that of An African Leader whose Leadership has never been of any benefit to any Anambrarian. Ask any Imolite.

If APC had won, on his Inaugural Speech, Nwoye would have promised Anambrarians "Jab, Jab, Jab. Factory, Factory, Factory. Industry, Industry, Industry" while churning out policies that will scuttle the realisation of those set targets. Ask any Imolite.

If APC had been in charge these past four years, over 500 Anambra Youths wouldnt have been effectively trained in diverse skills and crafts at the Technology Incubation Centre in Nnewi. Over 500 Anambra Youths would not have been trained at the Agricultural Training Institute in Mgbakwu. Rather, the Government would have abruptly disrupted the Programme, conducted an Inquest into the propriety of the process and after 3 years and more come up with a Youth Must Work Initiative where Anambra Youths will be distracted with 20,000 monthly stipend which shall last just for 7months or a little less. After then, they roam the streets of Awka helplessly. Ask any Imolite.

If APC were there in the last 4years, Anambra State would not have maintained an enviable position in both NECO and WAEC examinations as a result of qualitative education. Rather, education would have been dragged into the mud in the name of Free Education. Faculties of Medicine and Law et al in Anambra State Univerity would have lost accreditation, the Teaching Hospital would have grounded to a halt because of lack of subvention. Ask any Imolite.

Education in Anambra State which was pursued in tripod dimensions of infrastural development, pupils/students development and Teachers' welfare would have received a planless approach where you starve a Lactating Mother and expect the Baby to grow rapidly. Ask any Imolite.

If APC had won, Nwoye's 44th Birthday on September 13 of next year would have been lavishly and prodigally celebrated with 21 human-size cakes while the impoverished Pensioners and Civil Servants are made to watch smacking their lips. Ask any Imolite.

If APC had won, by this time next year, the Government would approve 850m Naira to the Sister of the Governor for christmass decoration. Then those roads constructed shortly before the rainy season would receive a hurried make-over to enchant the view of Anambrarians who would come home at yuletide. Ask any Imolite.

If Anambrarians did not have a feel of God's manifold miracle of November 18, Imolites got a vicarious thrill of it.

On Sunday morning, we looked up to the mountains where our help shall come from and prayed to the God of "Ndi Anambra" for ours in 2019.

APGA urges FG to remove Boko Haram from Ekwulobia

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has asked the Federal Government of Nigeria to urgently remove the 47 Boko Haram inmates recently relocated to Ekwulobia Minimum Prison in Anambra, reports ITRealms.

The Chairman of the party, Dr. Victor Ike Oye, ITRealms gathered in condemning the relocation, urged the Federal Government to emulate what United States of America did when it was faced with similar precarious circumstance that it built Guantanamo Bay detention facility located in a small island near Cuba, where terror suspects and convicts are detained.

He said that unlike the Guantanamo Bay detention facility, access into the Ekwulobia Prison is as easy as gaining access in and out of the National Stadium in Lagos.

 “They did not consider the sensibilities of the people and the far-reaching consequences of the movement or was it a case of deliberate design to continue to spite the Igbo who have suffered many years of marginalization and ill treatment?” he asked.

In a press statement released by the spokesman of the party, Ifeanacho Oguejiofor, ITRealms learnt, the APGA Chairman enjoined the FG to be prompt in relocating the terrorist suspects in order not to seem to be sabotaging the good works of the Anambra State Government and its effort in creating an air of security and tranquility that had already pervaded the entire state before the relocation of the prisoners.

“The good people of Anambra State and its government do not need this distraction,” he said.

The APGA National Chairman, ITRealms  further gathered,  urged the government to start the construction of modern prisons across the nation and also embark on the provision of jobs for millions of unemployed youth to curtail or curb crimes since accessories to terrorism and other crimes are majorly the youth whose future had been mortgaged by years of misadministration and malfeasance by successive leaderships.

APGA lambasts APC policy forum, says it lacks national diversity

The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) has lambasted the All Progressive Congress for lack of diversity in its on-going national policy dialogue which kicked off in Abuja today, reports ITRealms.

APGA through its publicity secretary, Okwukwe Ibiam told ITRealms that the proposed list of speakers depicts insensitivity to the Nigerian body politic

.

“It is rather unhealthy for an in-coming Government to seem rather non-inclusive, at this out-set,” he said.

According to Ibiam, a forum as the above should look to include viewpoints from the diverse ethnic Nigerian population in academia, chieftains of the different economy and industry, rather than a selection of representatives from given ethno-religious zone. 

“The choice of presenters could be more varied and better,” he said, stressing that a forum which seeks to transform vision to reality may not ignore or take for granted issues of peace and domicile security for all Nigerians, also the expatriate class, which make for a conducive economic environment, investment and trade. 

APGA also said that transportation and infrastructure development in Nigerian economic planning requires expansion of seaport access to different parts of coastal Nigeria to increase National economic vibrancy and decrease port congestion, especially in Lagos.

Insisting that reviving the Nigerian Ports of Calabar, Port Harcourt, Warri, and not reducing them to specialized establishments in addition to creating a Port at Oron, Akwa Ibom State, cannot be over-emphasised.

APGA further said that encouraging the development of geo-economic zones and looking at factors against the continued development of different market zones in Nigeria, which are daily losing business to other parts of Nigeria, particularly from the East Coast to the West coast, secondary to scorching Government trade and economic policy on Ports, Portage and infrastructure.

Encouraging geo-political zones to develop their comparative advantages, APGA said, in any product or trade sector deemed favorable, and hosting trade fairs, to enlighten Nigeria on their product/economic advantages, creating stable product/supply base, for infant industries elsewhere.

APGA lauds Buhari on mission statement

The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) has lauded the president-elect, retired General Muhammadu Buhari on his mission statement, reports ITRealms.

APGA in a press statement made available to ITRealms and endorsed by its national publicity secretary, Mr Okwukwe Ibiam alluded to General Buhari’s address to the induction of new legislators of the 8th National Assembly, in Abuja, Wednesday.

“We are particularly intrigued and elated that the President-elect adopted APGA themes in his address, and commend the President-elect's proposition to work with the Nigerian Legislature to increase domicile security across Nigeria; halt the scourge of de-industrialization for the last 3 decades, resulting in migration of skilled labour to other countries; focus on Nigerian Economic base re-structuring, including decreased dependence on oil export revenue; increase Power supply and its general effect on development of small-scale industries around the federation; eradicate devastation and environmental degradation of the Niger Delta; and end endemic corruption,” APGA said.

The party also welcomed specifically the in-coming administrations' goals, which APGA said its particularly touched that the President harped on the scourge of de-industrialization for the past 3 decades, and the migration of unemployed skilled labour to other African countries.

Just as they reminded Buhari it was his unilateral policy in the 80’s that ended for instance, the issue of Government policy and De-Industrialization. “Osisioma, a Nigerian industrial outpost of Aba City, Abia State, is one such de-industrialized location, suffering heavily secondary to a Buhari unilateral policy in the eighties about 3 decades ago

According to APGA spokesman, the abandoned factories and steel frame ruins with reeds from overgrown bushes hanging over them, still lie evident for any to see, especially along the Osisioma Aba - Port Harcourt expressway. 

“Hopefully, this gradually re-surging town, Osisioma will look to benefit from the proposed re-industrialization policies of a Buhari Government. A policy favorable to the local entrepreneurs, who are the architects of the private economic growth in this region of Nigeria,” he said.
