The Executive Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, would this Thursday, deliver the 6th yearly lecture of Freedom Online newspaper in Lagos, reports ITREALMS.

A statement by the Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief of the online newspaper, Gabriel Akinadewo, informed ITREALMS that while Fubara is the Special Guest Speaker, former Governor of Ogun State and Chairman, Senate Committee on Navy, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, is the Keynote Speaker of the lecture with the theme: 'Nigeria’s Socio-Political Challenges: Whose Fault, Leaders or the Led?'

The Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has called for responsible management of funds allocated to Host Communities Development Trusts (HCDT) in the Niger Delta, reports ITREALMS.

The governor spoke on Tuesday at an event to unveil three additional HDCTs by The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC), operator of the SPDC Joint Venture comprising SPDC, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC), TotalEnergies Limited and Nigerian Agip Oil Company Limited.

The Kalama Development Initiative, a socio-political pressure group, has praised Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara, for approving the construction of a bridge that will connect Kalama to the rest of the state. 

The group, founded in 2018 to address the socio-political concerns of youths in Kalama, hailed the Governor's commitment to enhancing connectivity and improving the lives of the state's residents.
