ITU-led Partner2Connect records about USD 30bn in global commitments to bring the world online

A total commitments worth USD 29.92 billion, about N13,314,998,400,00 trillion, have been pledged since March to bring the world’s hardest-to-connect communities online, according to the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the United Nations specialized agency for information and communication technologies.

The total commitments, coming in 578 pledges from around the world, include cash funding as well as policy, programme and advocacy efforts mobilized since the launch of a dedicated pledging platform to extend Internet reach around the globe.

The Nigeria National Persons with Disabilities Multipurpose Coorperative Society (NNPWDMCS), has called on Nigerians to stop discrimination against people living with disability (PLWD), in the society, reports

The group President, Taiye Titus Oloye, said disability should not equate with inability because there is ability in every disability therefore Nigerians should not discriminate against them rather to support this group of people, which include people with vision and hearing impediments among others to make their lives positive.

The Nigerian Communications Commission's Computer Security Incident Response Team (NCC-CSIRT) has warned about the potential harm of taking part in the Invisible Challenge on short-form video hosting service, TikTok, revealing that it exposes devices to information-stealing Malware.
An NCC-CSIRT advisory said threat actors have taken advantage of a viral TikTok challenge, known as the Invisible Challenge, to disseminate an information-stealing malware known as the WASP (or W4SP) stealer.
