Nigeria is edging closer to a new era of industrial transformation as the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC)’s 30% Value Addition Bill passes its third reading in the House of Representatives and now heads to the desk of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for assent, reports ITREALMS.The landmark legislation mandates that all raw materials sourced in Nigeria must undergo a minimum of 30 percent local value addition before export. This policy aims to strengthen domestic manufacturing, reduce capital flight, and enhance the nation’s economic resilience by ensuring that more of Nigeria’s wealth is retained within its borders.

Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Ltd (SNEPCo) says Nigerian companies have a lot to benefit if they are prepared to take advantage of more opportunities in its offshore and shallow water oil and gas projects.Speaking at the 5th Nigerian Oil and Gas Opportunity Fair (NOGOF) in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, today, SNEPCo MD, Ronald Adams said projects such as Bonga Southwest Aparo, Bonga North and Bonga Main Life extension could grow Nigerian businesses and improve their expertise if they applied themselves seriously to executing higher value contracts.

The fund raising exercise organised by some concerned citizens including media and corporate affairs practitioners to raise $35,000 (USD) about N57 million for Kolawole Kuforiji, a Nigerian journalist to undergo a Deep Brain Stimulation surgery in Turkey has reached the first milestone of over N1 million donation.
The fund raising exercise organised by some concerned citizens including media and corporate affairs practitioners to raise $35,000 (USD) about N57 million for Kolawole Kuforiji, a Nigerian journalist to undergo a Deep Brain Stimulation surgery in Turkey has reached the first milestone of over N1 million donation.
The total contribution so far coming from small donors with the smallest of N1,000 and the highest single donation of N200,000 is now N1,178,292.00, while the promoters are still waiting for the interventions of major foundations who have received letters requesting for assistance.
