Tale of two storms: Nature’s wrath meets governance failure:
Awba-Ofemili has been besieged. The community has faced a relentless battering, not just once, but repeatedly. Within the span of a single week, the town of Awba-Ofemili in Awka-North Local Government Area of Anambra State was struck twice by ferocious natural storms, leaving its vital educational hub, Community Secondary School (CSS) Awba-Ofemili, among others in complete disarray. Roofs have been ripped away, classrooms exposed to the elements, and the future of hundreds of students has been literally blown into the wind.

Yet, this tragedy of nature is compounded by a tragedy of governance. Even as the dust from these meteorological storms began to settle, another "storm" was brewing in the halls of power; one that has left the Nigerian public reeling. The revelation that ₦100 million of public funds, purportedly originating from an Anambra State Government security vote account, was "mistakenly" transferred to the private account of the son of the immediate past Inspector-General of Police is a staggering display of institutional dysfunction.

The National Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (NCAIR) in partnership with Google, has launched the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Fund, worth a ₦100 million in support of the Nigerian startups in developing innovative AI-driven solutions, reports ITREALMS.
