The Federal Government (FG) has expressed reservations over the latest WhatsApp update on Privacy Policy, reports ITREALMS.
A press statement available to ITREALMS by the Technical Assistant on Information Technology to the Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Femi Adeluyi, quoted the Minister, Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, as saying their attention has been brought to the updated Privacy Policy of the WhatsApp messaging application.

A press statement available to ITREALMS, NCC through its Director, Public Affairs, Dr. Ikechukwu Adinde, said the Commission's attention has been drawn to several media publications to this effect.

"At no time did the Commission issue a Statement regarding the registration of IMEI by subscribers and it has no plans to do so," he said.

The just concluded 2021 Eid-El-Fitri special patrol organised by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has shown that it recorded 27% decrease in the total number of crashes that occurred during the period under consideration, reports ITREALMS.

The Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi has said the State government would utilize the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)’s Rice Anchor Borrowers Programme (ABP) partnership to create over 12,000 jobs and  increase its annual rice production from 34,700 to 1.5 million metric tonnes.

The CBN-ABP, according to the Governor would generate no fewer than 12,000 jobs for rice farmers, who, would in turn, create additional 50,000 jobs in full production across the rice value chain within a year.

NCC resolves 99.2% of telecom consumer complaints in Q1 2021 - ITREALMS


The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has resolved 99.2 per cent of service-related complaints received from telecom consumers across the major network operators in Q1, 2021.

According to the Q1, 2021 Report on Complaint Management issued by the Consumer Affairs Bureau of the Commission, a total of 3,019 consumer complaints were received from four complaint channels established by the Commission as compared to 2,854 complaints received in the Q1, 2020.
