The Oyo State Government has rejected a report launched by a non-governmental organisation (NGO), the State Budget Transparency Survey report, which placed the state as the least performing state of the federation on the ladder of online availability of budget documents for the year 2020.
The state government, which made its position known in a statement endorsed by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, insisted that the state’s budget information was, indeed, published on the state’s website.

The Oyo State Governor, 'Seyi Makinde, has said on Saturday that traditional rulers, as custodians of culture and tradition, should only honour credible individuals who have displayed high moral values and integrity in the society with chieftaincy titles.
He equally expressed confidence on the chances of Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja in the PDP Southwest Zonal Congress slated for Osogbo, saying the former deputy governor and former member of the House of Representatives possesses the experience needed to move the party forward.

The General Assembly of the Awba-Ofemili Development Union (ADU) in Awka-North Local Government of Anambra State, has elected a new set of National Executive Committee (NEC) led by Chief Tony Nwakaeze as the latest President-General (PG) of the town, reports ITREALMS.
He takes over from the former PG, Dr. Ike Oforkansi who has been in the saddle for the past three years.
