Etisalat Cliqfest lands @ Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, excites students



The Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta (MAPOLY) played host to the Etisalat Cliqfest team with excitement reading all over students who gather to savour the goodies of Cliqfest, reports ITRealms.

Part of the package brought by Etisalat to the school includes the unveiling of youth-centric, empowerment, and educative initiative tagged Etisalat Cliqfest. 

The two day event which held on Thursday, 12 March and Friday, 13 March 2015 began with an aspirational session delivered by Motivational Speaker and Life Coach, Niyi Adesanya. Students were thrilled on the second day to a concert headlined by popular Nigerian artistes, a football match and a raffle draw. 

Speaking on the event, Elvis Daniel, Head, Youth Segment, Etisalat Nigeria, described Cliqfest as a touch point for young people where they are at liberty to express themselves and their dreams. 

“We go around the country, bringing an entertaining platform that delivers a wholesome experience to students because Etisalat is passionate about the Nigerian youth and their aspirations. Cliqfest is designed to help them discover themselves right here within the walls of their institution.” said Daniel.

The climax of the event emerged when Bilikis Egusola Omowunmi, a Science Laboratory Technology student was announced as the winner of a brand new Hyundai i10. The elated student said, “To be honest I bought two raffle tickets in anticipation that I might win but I still cannot believe that I truly won. Etisalat is the best network ever and I am extremely grateful to Etisalat for this encouraging experience”.

Etisalat Cliqfest 2015 storms UNIZIK



Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State hosted  the first Etisalat Cliqfest programme for 2015, reports ITRealms.

Cliqfest, ITRealms notes, is a youth-centric education and entertainment initiative of Nigeria’s fastest growing and most innovative telecommunications company, Etisalat Nigeria.

The two-day programme featured an inspirational session with renowned motivational speaker, Niyi Adesanya; a novelty football match and an exciting concert headlined by nonconformist hip-hop artiste, Kiss Daniel, Nigerian music legends of the 21st Century; popular hip hop stars, Mr Raw, Terry G; and the winner of the 4th season of Etisalat-Sponsored Nigerian Idol, Evelle Zibili.

Head, Youth Segment at Etisalat Nigeria, Elvis Daniel observed that Cliqfest provides an opportunity for strategic engagement with an important market segment and also positions young Nigerians for successful careers.

"Etisalat Cliqfest is an edutainment and reward initiative for Nigerian students. During the programme, students have an opportunity to prepare for life outside school, while having fun at the same time and experiencing Etisalat’s youth-centered product - Easycliq,” Daniel told ITRealms.

Further reports by ITRealms shows that the climax was when a 100 Level Medical Laboratory Student, Obiekwe Somtochukwu, won the grand prize of a brand new Hyundai i10 car during the raffle draw.

Overwhelmed, Obiekwe Somtochukwu said she was extremely grateful to Etisalat for their generosity. “I never thought I would win it when I bought my ticket but I guess it goes to show that nothing is impossible. I will forever remain grateful to Etisalat for this car. This is definitely the best way to start the year for me” she said.

ITRealms recollects that Etisalat Cliqfest has been to over 50 tertiary institutions in Nigeria, motivating thousands of students with its unique combination of education and entertainment.

Etisalat takes Cliqfest to Anambra, introduces Hajj promo'13


Etisalat Nigeria, the fastest acclaimed fastest Mobile Network Operator (MNO) in the country has taken its CliqFest to the customer with the hosting of a seminar for the South East at the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State.

This is coming as Etisalat introduced Hajj promo, slashing its roaming tariff for customers attending the 2013 Hajj.

ITRealms gathered that the seminar attended by students, youths and senior management team of the host institution led by the Rector, Federal Polytechnic Oko, Anambra, Professor Godwin Onu and his deputy, Dr. Don Mmuo.

Also, Etisalat Cliqfest seminar, was plan by the mobile operator to deepen acceptance of this product among the youths and youth at heart, according to correspondent investigations.

Other dignitaries at Etisalat Cliqfest seminar for South East include the Regional Security Manager, South South/South East, Etisalat Nigeria, Isaiah Chukwuemekaobi; Specialist, Retail Marketing, Etisalat Nigeria, Chukwunonso Obi; Youth Segment, Etisalat Nigeria, Idiare Atimomo; and Analyst, Sponsorship, Etisalat Nigeria, Okanu Ibeano.

In a related development, Etisalat has slashed its roaming tariffs for customers attending the 2013, offering a zero charge for receiving calls and Short Messaging Service (SMS).

Director, Business Segments, Etisalat Nigeria, Lucas Dada confirmed this to ITRealms, saying that the amazing promo for its customers travelling for this year’s Hajj in Saudi Arabia, would run from September 1st to November 30th 2013.

“Its new and existing customers travelling to Saudi Arabia to perform the holy pilgrimage will have the opportunity to enjoy highly discounted rates on local calls in Saudi Arabia, calls to Nigeria, SMS and data services,” he said.

He explained that Etisalat Hajj Promo offers customers on the network great discounts on outgoing calls to Nigeria at N30 per minute, local calls within Saudi Arabia at N30 per minute and N20 per SMS, with a data package for as low as 1  kobo per KB for all pay as you go data plans. In addition, he said, all incoming calls and SMS received in the holy land during the promo period will be totally free of charge.

According to him, the promo which is in its fourth  year was designed to help customers stay in touch with their family, friends and business associates in several places across the globe including Saudi Arabia at a very low cost.


“The Hajj Special enables customers to seamlessly and conveniently stay connected to family and friends while performing Hajj by providing heavily discounted rates on calls to Nigeria, local calls in Saudi, SMS and data services,” he said. Under the promo, customers can also conveniently travel with recharge cards as well as receive e-top up from family and friends in Nigeria.
