Importers/Exporters, Shippers and Freight Forwarders operating in the Eastern ports of the country have unanimously rejected an alleged 200 percent increase in Haulage Fare by the Nigerian Shippers council (NSC) in connivance with the transport unions, Maritime flat and cargo and the Freight Forwarding transport, lamenting its impending inflationary effect should the alleged hike is allowed to stand.
Importers/Exporters, Shippers and Freight Forwarders operating in the Eastern ports of the country have unanimously rejected an alleged 200 percent increase in Haulage Fare by the Nigerian Shippers council (NSC) in connivance with the transport unions, Maritime flat and cargo and the Freight Forwarding transport, lamenting its impending inflationary effect should the alleged hike is allowed to stand.
The body unanimously threatened operational shot down as they declared a 7 day ultimatum during which the NSC is expected to return to status quo ante by reversing the hiked rate.

The nation’s telecommunications regulator, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has reaffirmed its commitment towards ensuring that the gender disparity in the ICT career sector is bridged. This statement was made with its backing of the 2024 edition of the International Girls in ICT Day campaign being organized by eBusiness Life Communication Limited.The event, which will hold at the Lagos Oriental Hotel on May 9, 2024 is part of an annual campaign initiated by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) to sensitise and encourage young women and girls to delve into ICT and related careers, which is seen to have been dominated by the male gender. The theme for this year is “Leadership."

The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of S Mobile Group, Mr. Kingsley Adonu, has been appointed a patron by the executive council, Students Union Government (SUG), University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN).
In a letter dated March 29, 2024 signed by Comrade Enoch Utazi, the President, SUG of UNN, the students said Adonu’s appointment was in the interest of the student union government following his antecedents in youth and student constituency both within the University of Nigeria Nsukka and outside the institution.

More than 1.2 million cholera rapid diagnostic tests will be shipped to 14 countries in largest-ever global deployment, with the first shipment landing today in Malawi.
The global cholera diagnostics programme is funded and coordinated by Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance (Gavi), with procurement and delivery to countries led by UNICEF, and undertaken in collaboration with the Global Task Force on Cholera Control (GTFCC), and WHO.
It was developed in partnership with FIND, who led development of a target product profile describing the required characteristics of cholera RDTs, and other organizations.

A SIM card, ITREALMS gathered is an integrated circuit (IC) intended to securely store an International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) number and its related key, which are used to identify and authenticate subscribers on mobile telephone devices such as mobile phones and laptops.
