The Ibadan Book Club is set to host its annual Stakeholders' and Strategic Meeting on Saturday, June 27, 2026, marking a pivotal moment in the club’s mission to revitalize reading culture in the Oyo State capital, reports ITREALMS.
The meeting serves as a platform to review the organization's achievements and engage key stakeholders on the club’s strategic direction for the remainder of the year.
In a statement, the founder of the Ibadan Book Club, Wole Adedoyin, highlighted that the event will feature the unveiling of five major literary projects. This mid-year tradition is designed to sustain the club's momentum in promoting literacy and literary excellence.
The upcoming initiatives include; Ibadan Book Spotlight: A curated focus on significant new titles. Ibadan Book Journal: A dedicated publication for literary discourse. Ibadan BookCast: A new podcast platform for book discussions. Ibadan Festival of Reading: A marquee event to celebrate literature. Ibadan Schools Reading Initiative: A targeted program to engage students and educators.
According to Adedoyin, these projects are intended to create diverse, innovative engagement opportunities for writers, publishers, students, and bibliophiles.

The club also used the occasion to formally recognize and express deep appreciation to Dr. Awele Ilusanmi (FANA) for her consistent monthly financial contributions.
