The European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), through its Centre for Testing and Interoperability (CTI), in collaboration with EUROCONTROL, has announced the upcoming VoIP in ATM over IPv6 Plugtests, reports ITREALMS.
The event is scheduled to take place from June 14 to June 18, 2027, at the ETSI headquarters in Sophia Antipolis, France.
This specialized event is designed to demonstrate vendor interoperability in the critical area of Air Traffic Management (ATM). Participants will engage in a series of rigorous interoperability test scenarios involving Telephone, Radio, Recorder, and Supervision interfaces, all configured for IPv6.
The event offers a vital testing ground for vendors specializing in Voice Communication Systems (VCS), Radio equipment and Recorder technology.
Additionally, Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) are invited to attend as observers, providing them with a unique opportunity to witness the latest advancements in IPv6-enabled ATM communication.
The event is free of charge and open to both ETSI members and non-members, fostering a collaborative environment for innovation across the aviation and telecommunications sectors.
Registration for the VoIP in ATM over IPv6 Plugtests is scheduled to open in early January 2027. Interested parties can find further information and updates on the official event page:
