Blue-chip firms, regulators rally support for SUPERNEWS confab @10th anniversary - ITREALMS

ITREALMS ... making leadership SENSE with digital news!

A host of leading government agencies, blue-chip companies, and reputable organizations across Nigeria’s key economic sectors have confirmed their support for the upcoming SUPERNEWS Local Content Confab’26, reports ITREALMS.
The event, which also celebrates the 10th anniversary of SUPERNEWS Nigeria, is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, starting at 10:00 a.m.

Confirmed institutional partners include the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG), Leadway Assurance Company Limited, Guinea Insurance Plc., the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB), Stanbic IBTC Holdings, Universal Insurance Plc., and Ugooafunwa Investment Company Ltd.

A platform for policy dialogue, the conference, themed "Local Content & Digitisation: Building Synergy Between Oil & Gas and Insurance Sectors for Inclusive Growth," aims to foster robust policy dialogue and stakeholder engagement.

Dr. Jeff Duru, Managing Director/CEO of Universal Insurance Plc., is slated to chair the event, while Mrs. Idu Okeahialam, Group Managing Director/CEO of Royal Exchange Plc., will deliver the keynote address.

Ngozi Onyeakusi, Convener of the conference and Publisher of SUPERNEWS Nigeria, expressed gratitude to the supporting organizations for their sustained confidence in the platform.

"The strong backing from these institutions underscores the growing relevance of the SUPERNEWS Annual Conference as a vital forum for promoting excellence and driving national development," Onyeakusi stated.

She particularly commended NLNG and Leadway Assurance for their consistent partnership over the years.

A decade of credible advocacy beyond its role as an annual policy forum, the 2026 edition marks a significant milestone: the 10th anniversary of SUPERNEWS Nigeria. Over the past decade, the platform has established itself as a respected voice in financial, insurance, oil and gas, and telecommunications reporting.

Reflecting on the milestone, Onyeakusi described the anniversary as a "celebration of resilience and professionalism."

She reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to responsible journalism, policy advocacy, and creating platforms that stimulate constructive dialogue.

As part of the anniversary festivities, SUPERNEWS Nigeria will host an awards ceremony during the conference to recognize organizations that have distinguished themselves through innovation, regulatory compliance, leadership, and service excellence.

The conference is expected to draw a diverse assembly of stakeholders, including regulators, sector CEOs, policymakers, civil society representatives, media practitioners, and industry experts.

As anticipation builds for the July 7 event, she said, stakeholders are preparing for a robust exchange of ideas intended to strengthen collaboration between the public and private sectors.
