The Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has extended warm birthday greetings to his predecessor, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola, as the former governor turned 68, reports ITREALMS.This is coming despite their differing political affiliations, as Governor Adeleke lauded Aregbesola's dedicated service to Osun State and Nigeria.
A press statement available to ITREALMS from Osunstate.gov.ng endorsed by Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Spokesperson to the Osun State Governor, Senator Adeleke praised Aregbesola's courage, conviction, and significant contributions to the state's progress.
"I celebrate my dear egbon, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola, as he marks his 68th birthday today," said Governor Adeleke. Stressing that "Ogbeni Aregbesola is a man endowed with an incredible sense of purpose, utilizing his God-given knowledge and energy to initiatives that impact lives and transform societies."
Acknowledging Aregbesola's tenure as both Governor of Osun State and Minister of Interior, Adeleke highlighted the former minister's impactful service delivery in various public offices.
"Regardless of our political differences, I hold Ogbeni Aregbesola in the highest esteem because of his contributions to the progress made in Osun State so far," Adeleke stated. He particularly commended Aregbesola's efforts in "creating opportunities for young people."
Governor Adeleke joined family, friends, and well-wishers in celebrating Aregbesola's accomplishments and prayed for his continued good health and ability to further contribute to Osun State's growth and development.
