The Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) has officially welcomed some 1,289 new members at a recent induction ceremony in Kano, as part of the NCS's 2025 International Conference, reports ITREALMS.This event, ITREALMS gathered was a significant expansion of Nigeria's professional IT community, with the largest group of inductees being the 800 ordinary members, a category that includes a wide range of professionals, students, and enthusiasts.
Detailed breakdown of the new members as gathered by ITREALMS and confirmed by the secretariat led by the Executive Secretary, Mr. Adesegun Segun, included 31 Affiliates, 84 Associates, 20 Corporate members, 100 Graduates, 1015 Members, and 39 Technologists.

ITREALMS further gathered that the induction ceremony was considered a crucial step in formalizing the IT profession, ensuring that Nigeria's rapid digital transformation is guided by a skilled and certified workforce.
The diverse group of inductees, industry observer noted that from those just starting their careers to established corporate entities, underscores the NCS's role as a unifying body for the entire technology value chain in the country.
