ConNovate 2025: Gov. Yusuf, Tijani, Odusote to headline confab - ITREALMS

The Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) is set to host its 19th international conference tagged ConNovate 2025, in Kano, with the state governor, Engr Abba Kabir Yusuf, Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani and Director General, National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) Dr. Abiosye Coker-Odusote headlining the event, reports ITREALMS.

ConNovate 2025, ITREALMS gathered will hold in Kano from August 11th to 14th, 2025, under the theme "Intelligent, Secure, and Sustainable Innovations for a Connected World."


Confirming this to ITREALMS at a press conference in Lagos, over the weekend, the President, Nigeria Computer Society, Dr. Muhammad Sirajo Aliyu, said the trio will lead other distinguished guests to the hybrid event.

According to him, the hybrid option will enable participants to either join physically or virtually for global accessibility.

Some 40 sessions and workshops, with over 300 paper submissions, and 55 partners and exhibitors are expected, while over 2,500 delegates from government, industry, and international IT communities are being anticipated.

Equally, some of the conference subthemes, Aliyu highlighted to include Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Cybersecurity and Data Privacy, Blockchain and Cryptography, Sustainable and Green Technologies, Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud Computing and Big Data Analytics, Robotics and Automation, smart cities and digital transformation.

ConNovate 2025 aims to foster collaboration among industry leaders, researchers, policymakers, and tech enthusiasts to develop resilient, inclusive, and sustainable solutions.

President Aliyu was accompanied at the press conference by the Deputy President Dr. Charles C. Onyeukwu, Conference Committee Chairman Prof. Adebukola Onashoga, Innovation, Research and Development Committee Chairman Dr. Olusoji B. Okunoye, Publicity Events and Trades Services Committee Chairman Mrs. Shulammite A. Ilebiyi, and NCS Executive Secretary Mr. Segun Adekunle.

Other National Executive Committee (NEC) members who joined virtually included South East Zonal Coordinator Dr. Stanley Adiele Okolie, North East Zonal Coordinator Mrs. Margaret John David, South West Zonal Coordinator Mr. Tunde Ogunremi, and the President of Nigerian Women in Information Technology (NIWIIT), Dr. Mrs. Olukemi Sade Ayodele.
