Acclaimed entrepreneur and philanthropist, Dr. Tunji Olowolafe, has inaugurated two landmark projects in Are-Ekiti, namely the Gbemisola Olowolafe Memorial (GOM) ICT Centre and the GOM Community Secondary School (GOMCSS), designed to transform education and digital empowerment in Nigeria, reports ITREALMS.

The twin initiatives, implemented through the Tunji Olowolafe Foundation, were named in honour of his late wife, Mrs. Gbemisola Olutayo Olowolafe, who passed away on March 11, 2025.

I write this from a point of pain and gratitude. Pain because of the death of a hard working and honest man, Rotimi Olaleye, who is both a great father, as attested to by his children who he has been taking care of single handedly since his wife died about five years ago, and an honest and diligent auto mechanic, as confirmed by his clients, including yours truly. We met less than a week before his death, but he left an unforgettable impression on me, even in death.

Gratitude? I was less than 10 seconds away from where Mr. Olaleye was when the fire that took his life occurred with my wife and first child.

A helicopter crash has occurred in California, United States of America (USA) killing the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (GMD/CEO) of Access Holdings, Dr. Herbert Onyewumbu Wigwe, his wife, Chizoba and their son reports ITREALMS.

The chairman, Nigerian Stock Exchange, Mr. Abimbola Ogunbanjo, also reportedly died in the same crash, according to earlier reports by Daily Trust, which reported that his wife and son were also in the helicopter that crashed in California, USA.

The Federal Government of Nigeria has ordered the withdrawal of the charges purportedly filed by Femi Falana (SAN) against the Chairman, Zinox Group, Leo Stan Ekeh, his wife and few others based on false information over an alleged N170m contract fraud with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) which has seen Mr. Benjamin Joseph, owner of Citadel Oracle Concepts Limited, an Ibadan-based ICT retail firm, standing trial for falsely petitioning the Federal Government, alleging that Ekeh and others colluded in defrauding it and his company in executing the contract.

The directive was issued via the office of the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN) and communicated in a letter dated October 28, 2022, from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) of the Federation, to the law firm of Falana and Falana.

Celebration galore for Gov. Dickson as wife delivers quadruplets

In less than 24 hours after he secured victory at the Court of Appeal Abuja, over the All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the last election, Chief Timipre Sylva, the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson was visited by quadruplets, via his wife, Dr. (Mrs) Rachael Dickson, reports ITRealms.

Delivered of a baby boy and three girls in an undisclosed hospital in the United States of America, ITRealms gathered that both the mother and children are in good condition.

Affirming these bundle of joy to ITRealms, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Dickson, Mr. Daniel Iworiso-Markson, said the blessing was particularly for the family and Bayelsans. “…Because this bundle of joy is coming after many years of praying and waiting upon the Lord.”


Governor Dickson thanked his friends, family members and Bayelsans for their prayers and support and enjoined them to continue to pray for the family.

Minister of State for Labour, James Ocholi, wife, son die in car tyre burst

The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Barr. James Enojo Ocholi, a  Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) has been pronounced dead alongside his wife and a son, reports ITRealms.

Ocholi, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain died in a car accident along Kaduna-Abuja Expressway on Sunday afternoon, as a result of tyre burst which led to several somersaults of the vehicle in which they were traveling in.

An indigene of Dekina area of Kogi State, Ocholi, ITRealms gathered that the Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) was a former governorship aspirant in Kogi State before his appointment as Minister in President Mohammadu Buhari’s administration.

Toyin Nwosu, wife of Sun DMD regains freedom

Mrs. Oluwatoyin Nwosu, wife of the Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of Sun Publishing Limited, Mr. Steve Nwosu, has regained her freedom, reports ITRealms.

 

Correspondent gathered that Mrs. Nwosu was released by her abductors at the early hours on Thursday.

 

Also, Toyin's release came three days after her abduction. 

 

Additional, ITRealms learnt that the mother of four was released at about 2.30am.

 

Sources close to the family said that revealed to ITRealms that the kidnappers dropped her off near Zenith Bank by Festac Bridge in Lagos State at about 2.30am and sped off in their boat.

 

ITRealms recalls that Mrs. Nwosu was abducted from her home in Okota, Amowo Odofin in Lagos after an armed robbery raid on Monday with the kidnappers carting away valuables.

Toyin Nwosu abductors makes no contact with family

The abductors of Mrs Oluwatoyin Nwosu, the wife of one of the Sun newspapers' senior editors, Mr. Steve Nwosu, has not contacted the family, reports ITRealms.

Correspondent recalls that Mrs Nwosu was abducted from their home at the Okota area of Lagos, about 2:30am on Monday, September 14, 2015.

As said by the husband, Mr. Steve Nwosu, as at 9am on Monday, his wife’s abductors were yet to get in touch with the family.

Mr Nwosu outside being a senior editor is also an Executive Director with the Sun newspaper as well as respected columnist.

Before his present appointment as Executive Director, Nwosu was the Daily Editor of the Sun.
