A panel of experts comprising Managing Director of Unitrust Insurance, Mr. Adedayo Arowojolu; pension activist Mr. Ivor Takor; and Managing Director of Alliance & General Insurance Plc, Mrs. Felicia Bolajoko David, will deliberate on key operational bottlenecks facing both sectors.
Highlighting the significance of the event, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Business Journal Media Group, Prince Cookey, described Mr. Thomas as a legendary figure who traversed the insurance market as both an operator and a regulator.
Prince Cookey noted that following the conclusion of the insurance recapitalisation exercise and the ongoing recapitalisation in the pension sector ahead of PenCom’s June 2027 deadline, operators must look beyond capital accumulation. He emphasized that the roundtable will establish actionable roadmaps on how operators can deploy new capital to enhance customer service, navigate post-2027 macroeconomic shifts, and accelerate sustainable contribution to the national economy.
