Shell MD, Okunbor, wins prestigious industry lifetime award - ITREALMS

The Managing Director of The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC) and Country Chair, Shell Companies in Nigeria (SCiN), Mr. Osagie Okunbor, has been named the sole recipient of the H. E. Dr Alirio Parra Lifetime Achievement Award in Nigeria Oil and Gas Industry for 2022.

Vodacom Business Nigeria wins four prestigious industry awards

The Vodacom Business Nigeria has emerged the Internet of Things Provider of the Year, the Telecom Business of the year and the Enterprise Service Provider of the Year at the 2017 Nigeria TechnologyInnovation and Telecoms Awards (NTIT Awards), reports ITRealms.

The NTIT awards is an industry celebration organized by the Association of Telecommunications Companies of Nigeria (ATCON), aimed at recognizing organizations and individuals at the forefront of technology and innovation in the industry.

The Managing Director of Vodacom Business Nigeria, Mr. Lanre Kolade, was also decorated with the Industry Personality of the year award.

“We are honored to receive these awards. This endorses our commitment to delivering world-class total communications solutions to businesses in Nigeria. Our gratitude goes to our customers whose businesses are driving the Nigerian economy and the men and women at Vodacom who work round the clock to support these businesses” said Mr. Lanre Kolade.

Vodacom Business Nigeria is taking the lead in the market with Internet of Things (IoT), using this technology to empower healthcare delivery, education management and enterprises to be more efficient.  IoT drives digital transformation, helping businesses to remain relevant in today’s digital world.

TITANS OF TECH marks ten years of constructive operation




The 10th anniversary of the prestigious Titans of Tech conference and exhibition has been scheduled to hold on July 22, 2015 at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, ITRealms reports.

Don Pedro Aganbi, Managing Consultant, Technology Africa, noted in a chat with news men in Lagos, that “in today’s modern society, information communication technology (ICT) continues to play an increasingly significant role in the development of any nation culturally, socially and economically”.

Speaking further, ITRealms learnt, he stated that “The theme of this year’s conference “How ICT Powers Nigeria’s Economy” was chosen specifically to highlight the fact that ICT has become a key driver of economic growth over the past decade.” He noted that the rapid diffusion of the Internet, of mobile telephony and of broadband networks all demonstrate just how pervasive ICT has become.

He said that the Titans of Tech 2015 conference will go a long way not just to boost awareness of how ICT is changing the economic landscape but also the key players/operators making the investments that is precipitating this change. The conference, ITRealms gathered, will afford participating firms and individuals the ample opportunities to reveal the extent of their investment in Nigeria and to highlight the urgent need to actively protect and indeed promote further investment.
