The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has announced the postponement of its maiden annual Public Relations, Reputation, Ideas, Concepts and Excellence (PRICE) Awards and Prizes to January 25, 2026, as reported by ITREALMS Online.
The awards were originally scheduled to take place on December 7, 2025.
The core reason for the postponement, ITREALMS gathered, is to ensure full participation and that "no one is left behind," since the observance of Christmas seems to have commenced much earlier for some of the NIPR's critical stakeholders.
The PRICE Awards are envisioned as a credible and enduring platform designed to identify, celebrate, and elevate outstanding individuals, campaigns, and organizations that are shaping the public relations landscape across various sectors in Nigeria.
The significance of the event lies in its aim to motivate professionals, practitioners, and scholars, enhance Nigeria’s global competitiveness in the PR ecosystem, and strengthen brand equity for all stakeholders, including the NIPR.
The development of the Awards reached a peak in September 2025 with the inauguration of a 12-man organizing committee by the NIPR President and Chairman of Council, Dr. Ike Neliaku.
