The Confraternity of Christian Mothers (CCM) of St. Jude Catholic Church, Mafoluku-Oshodi in Lagos State, hosted a grand celebration, yesterday, Sunday, marking its 40th anniversary and the solemn induction of 25 new members, just as it unveiled an 'Angelic Bus' to commemorate the milestone, reports ITREALMS.
The twin event, themed "40 Years with Mary: A Journey of God's Faithfulness and Faithful Witness," was held at the Church premises and served as a deep reflection on the commitment of mothers to family growth, church development, and evangelism, taking the Blessed Virgin Mary as their spiritual yardstick.
A major highlight of the milestone anniversary was the unveiling of the Confraternity's "Angelic Bus."
CCM President, Mother Chinenye Eze, expressed immense joy over the development, stating that the bus was a significant asset unveiled to commemorate the uniqueness of the anniversary programme.
"Today, we celebrated the 8th solemn reception of mothers and our 40th anniversary, which is a wonderful day of thanksgiving and joy for us," Mother Eze said.
She also appreciated the members' tenacity, which was recognized through numerous awards presented during the event.
The President urged the newly received members to continue to emulate the virtues of Mary, the Patroness Mother of Sorrow, and to always propagate the gospel through their exemplary lives.
The Parish Priest of St. Jude Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Patrick Okoye, commended the successful reception of the 25 new mothers, noting it as a testament to the Confraternity’s effective evangelical outreach.

Also, ITREALMS gathered that the St. Jude’s Parish branch was founded in 1985 by Mother Zena Osuagwu, who assembled consistent members to pray for their families and provide mutual support.
Other highlights of the anniversary celebration included the presentation and breaking of kolanuts, appreciation awards, choreography, cultural dances, and the anniversary raffle draw.
