The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has concluded the year 2025 by announcing the promotion of 523 staff members, a move aligned with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, reports ITREALMS.
The promoted staff members met all the prerequisite conditions stipulated in the Public Service Rules (PSR) for the 2025 promotion exercise.
The promotions span across various grade levels, with significant advancement in the management ranks:
Director Cadre (GL 17): 2 staff members
Deputy Director Cadre (GL 16): 8 staff members
Assistant Director Cadre (GL 15): 35 staff members
Below the executive cadre, promotions were also widespread:
Chief Identity Officers (GL 14): 35 staff
Assistant Chief Identity Officers (GL 13): 109 staff
Principal Identity Officer (GL 12): 113 officers
Senior Identity Officer (GL 10): 82 officers
Identity Officer I (GL 9): 130 officers
Quoting the Head of Corporate Communications, Dr. Kayode Adegoke in a press statement available to ITREALMS, the NIMC management views the promotions as a crucial step in boosting morale and institutional efficiency.

"The Director-General/CEO has charged all the promoted staff to view this promotion as a fresh opportunity to serve the country with renewed dedication," Dr. Adegoke stated on Friday.
"She has firmly reiterated the Commission's zero-tolerance policy for extortion and warned staff to desist from any such act."
Engr. Coker-Odusote further encouraged all staff to work even harder in the coming year, 2026, to ensure the successful implementation of the National Identification Number (NIN) project.
