The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra State ICT Agency, Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, CFA, has commended Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, for his visionary leadership and sustained commitment to digital transformation in Anambra State, reports ITREALMS.
This commendation follows Anambra State’s remarkable showing at the Nigeria GOVTECH Gala & Awards 2025, held at the Presidential Banquet Hall, Abuja, where the state clinched two major awards.
The Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning emerged as Best State MDA in Technology-Driven Governance, while the Anambra State Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) won the Excellence in Digital Public Procurement Award.

In addition, the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Chiamaka Nnake, and the Director-General of BPP, Okechukwu Ezeobi, received Trailblazer Awards for exemplary leadership in advancing governance through technology.
Reacting to the awards, Agbata praised the collaborative efforts of both ministries and other state agencies working closely with the ICT Agency to entrench digital adoption across government operations.
“These awards underscore what is possible when agencies share a common vision,” Agbata said. “The ICT Agency is proud to power the digital infrastructure and systems that make efficient, transparent, and citizen-focused governance a reality in Anambra State.”
He further reaffirmed the Agency’s commitment to deepening digital integration, automation, and interoperability across all tiers of government in line with Governor Soludo’s tech-driven governance roadmap.
“We are determined to sustain the momentum and ensure that Anambra remains at the forefront of e-governance innovation—not just in Nigeria, but across Africa,” he said.
