The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has appointed Wole Adedoyin, as a member of its prestigious National Publicity Committee, reports ITREALMS.
Adedoyin is currently the chairman of the Osun State Chapter of the party.

This appointment comes as part of a larger restructuring effort within the party, aimed at enhancing its communication strategy at the national level.

Adedoyin's appointment was announced at the 2024 National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held at the National Secretariat of APGA. The meeting was presided over by the National Leader of the Party and Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency, Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo and the National Chairman of the Party, Barr. Sylvester Ezeokenwa. It was attended by key party leaders, including the members of the National Working Committee (NWC), federal lawmakers, and state assembly members. The event also saw the ratification of the membership of various committees within the party, one of which was the National Publicity Committee.

The National Publicity Committee, which is tasked with managing the party's public image and communication, will be headed by Mazi Ejimofor Opara, PhD, the current National Publicity Secretary of the party. Adedoyin’s inclusion in this committee is a recognition of his vast experience and dedication to public service and political communication.

In his capacity as Osun State Chairman, Adedoyin has already made significant contributions to the party's activities and growth in the state. His new role in the National Publicity Committee will further strengthen the party’s national communication strategies, ensuring that the party’s messages reach all corners of the country. Adedoyin’s role will also involve shaping the narrative around APGA’s policies and achievements, working alongside the National Publicity Secretary to craft timely and impactful communication.

Adedoyin is a seasoned journalist and content creator, with an impressive career spanning over several years. He has contributed over 1,000 articles to notable platforms such as Opera News and Scooper News. His work has been recognized within the media industry, having won the Opera News Hub’s Original Articles of the Week award twice in March 2020, as well as the Original Long Read Articles of the Month award in the same month. His recognition as an award-winning writer further underscores the significance of his appointment to the National Publicity Committee.

Beyond his journalistic prowess, Adedoyin has also demonstrated his commitment to leadership and political engagement. He attended the Emerging Political and Economic Leaders Summit in Abuja in 2017, an event organized by the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership, in conjunction with the office of the Special Adviser to the President on Political Affairs. He returned to the summit in 2018 for its second edition, which was co-organized by Harvard University’s Institute of Politics and the same office of the Special Adviser to the President on Political Affairs.

The NEC meeting, which led to Adedoyin’s appointment, featured a significant gathering of APGA’s national and state-level leadership. Key figures such as Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Onyekachukwu Ibezi, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe of Abia South, House of Representatives members including Hon. Alex Mascot Ikwechegh, as well as several members of the National Working Committee, were in attendance. The presence of these leaders highlights the importance of the meeting and the high regard in which Adedoyin’s appointment is held within the party.

The event also saw a strong presence from other party leaders, including Bianca Ojukwu, the wife of the pioneer National Leader of APGA and current Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, who graced the event with her presence. Her involvement, alongside the Deputy Governor and other key party figures, underlined the unified and progressive nature of APGA’s leadership at both the national and state levels.

With the new appointment, Adedoyin is set to play a pivotal role in advancing the party’s message and strengthening its position on the national stage. As APGA continues to grow and expand its influence, his expertise in communication and media will be invaluable in furthering the party’s objectives and connecting with a broader audience.
