From protecting critical digital infrastructure to driving data-led decision-making, these fields now sit at the very center of innovation, governance, and business growth.

In a strategic response to this demand, TD Africa, in collaboration with the Enugu Tech Festival (ETF) and the Enugu State Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, has announced the launch of a fully sponsored training initiative branded “Code Your Defence.”

This initiative is meticulously designed to equip young Africans with practical, industry-relevant skills that align with global standards. Unlike traditional academic courses, “Code Your Defence” employs a structured curriculum that blends foundational knowledge with intensive hands-on learning and real-world applications, ensuring that participants are not merely educated, but are fully job-ready upon completion.

Speaking on the launch, Fridel Makun, Head of Marketing at TD Africa, emphasized the organization’s commitment to building digital capacity and creating tangible opportunities for the next generation.

He noted that Africa’s digital future will be shaped by those who are equipped with technical competence rather than just inspiration.

He further described the program as a gateway to expanding access to elite training that builds the confidence and career readiness urgently needed across global industries today.

Beyond the free professional training, selected participants will benefit from an industry-standard curriculum delivered by experienced instructors, globally recognized certifications, and clear pathways for job placements, internships, and rapid career advancement.

The program is intentionally inclusive, welcoming students, recent graduates, early-career professionals seeking to upskill, and individuals looking to pivot into the tech sector. No advanced prior experience is required, provided the applicant demonstrates a strong willingness to learn and innovate.

With training officially commencing on January 19, 2026, interested applicants are encouraged to register early as slots are strictly limited.

This partnership reflects a deepened shared commitment to closing Africa’s digital skills gap and cultivating a future-ready workforce capable of securing systems, unlocking the hidden value of data, and supporting sustainable development across the continent.
