ITREALMS ... making leadership SENSE with digital news!

The prestigious ceremony saw the official induction of 48 new fellows into the Society's highest rank, even as the Chief Executive Officer of Consultancy Support Services (CSS), Alhaji Abdul-Hakeem Bolade Dirisu Ajijola (AhA), was celebrated as the coveted IT Personality of the Year.

Held on November 20, 2025, at the iconic MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos, the ceremony gathered the sector's brightest minds, most influential leaders, and policy shapers.

The core highlight of the evening was the conferment of the Professional Fellowship, the NCS’s highest honour, reserved for members who have established themselves as authorities through significant and transformative contributions to the industry.

This year’s robust induction class saw some 45 deserving members officially elevated to the prestigious College of Fellows and three honourary fellows.

This strong intake confirms the deepening pool of expertise within the NCS and reinforces the vital role the organization plays in nurturing elite, ethical leadership for Nigeria's digital future.

Among the latest Fellows inducted were notable industry figures, including Mr. Olusegun Olugbile, Chief Executive of Data Analytics Privacy Technology Ltd; Okechulwu Ogwo; Mrs. Arunah Aminat Flora; Dr. Kenneth Okereafor; and Alhaji Bayo Mohammed Onimode, among others.

In parallel, the spotlight shone brightly on Alhaji Ajijola. Already an acclaimed global cybersecurity strategist and an existing NCS Fellow, his exemplary, long-standing contributions to national and international digital policy and his steadfast advocacy made him the clear choice for the IT Personality of the Year.

His recognition underscored the increasing premium the nation and the industry place on proven competence, visionary leadership, and integrity in critical digital domains.

Earlier in his welcome address, the NCS President, Dr. Muhammad Sirajo Aliyu, accompanied by the Executive Secretary, Adesegun Adekunle, and the Chairperson of the Publicity, Events and Trade Services Committee, Mrs. Shulammite Ilebiyi, described the event as a "remarkable celebration of excellence, dedication and achievement."

“Tonight, we come together not only to reflect on the milestones we have achieved as an association, but also to honour the exceptional individuals who have distinguished themselves through their remarkable contributions to our shared goals and the broader society,” Dr. Aliyu stated.

The evening, therefore, stood as a resounding affirmation of professional excellence and strategic technological leadership, with the induction of over 40 Fellows and the honouring of AhA serving as definitive benchmarks of the industry's success in 2025, whereas the Youth Innovator of the year went to Andrew Agbo Abu.
