LP appoints Hilda Dokubo, chairperson in Rivers State - ITREALMS

The National Working Committee of the Labour Party (LP) has appointed Nollywood Actress, Hilda Dokubo as the chairperson of its three-man steering committee in Rivers state, reports ITREALMS.

The National Chairman, LP, Barrister Julius Abure, in a letter to the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) dated Thursday, March 9, 2023, listed Philip Loveday as secretary, and Gogo Wellington as publicity secretary of the new committee.

Further, Abure said that the committee would serve for a period of one month.

ITREALMS recalled that this appointment is coming after the Dienye Pepple-led executive of the Labour Party in Rivers state was dissolved earlier in the week, following allegations of anti-party activities.
