Bashir Kehinde Soliu passage: CSOs, Kwara Govt mourn late activist for impactful life - ITREALMS

The Civil Society Organisations' (CSO) stakeholders in Nigeria are currently in pains due to the untimely death of one of their advocates, Mr. Bashir Kehinde Soliu, of the Ilorin-based Meadows Community Development Outreach (MCDO), describing him as someone who led an impactful life, reports ITREALMS.

This is coming as the Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, has commiserated with the civil society community on the death of Mr. Soliu, describing it as shocking and painful.


Reacting to the Soliu's passage, the Executive Director of the Centre for Community Empowerment and Poverty Eradication (CCEPE) Mr. Abdurrahman Akindele Ayuba, said that "Words still can't describe the pain and agony I currently feel, just like what most of us are undergoing now. However, we can't question the will of Almighty Allah. Allah gives and takes life , so we submit to His will"


He pointed out that as a people who have accepted the will of God, "our consolation lies in the fact that #Bashir led a productive and impactful life.


"His footprints in the development space in Kwara State remain indelible and we will continue to celebrate this," he declared.


Also in a condolence message in Ilorin, the Governor through his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, described the late activist, Bashir, as a man of great impacts who gave his all in the service of the community and was known for his team spirit and passion to serve humanity.

“Everyone has testified to the positive impacts that Mr. Bashiru had on the people around him and his roles within the Kwara State civic space. This is a consolation to thank Almighty God for a life well spent, however painful his death is to all of us. I send my heartfelt condolences to his family, other members of the MCDO, and the entire civil society movement in the state. May he find forgiveness, peace, and deserving rest with God,” Ajakaye said.
