ITREALMS ... making leadership SENSE with digital news!

The newly appointed Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, Indigenous Artworks, Culture and Tourism, Dr Kenneth Anierobi has resumed duties at the ministry on Monday, January 18, this year, reports ITREALMS.

The commissioner, who hails from Omo, Ayamelum Local Government Area (LGA) was appointed on December 15, 2020, and he took oath a month later.

He replaced a former Commissioner, Dr Christian Madubuko, who resigned his appointment, due to political differences with the Governor, Chief Willie Obiano.

In his inaugural speech, the commissioner enjoined all the Directors in the ministry to undergo COVID-19 tests to ascertain their health status.

“COVID-19 pandemic is real and everyone will always wear face masks when going out; use hand sanitisers, maintain social distancing and avoid large gatherings.

“Outside the state, Anambra is seen as the number one state with good people and we must collectively promote the state through the Ministry.

“It is our duty to ensure that we keep the Ministry going, especially in the use of technology and I am here to contribute my idea for the growth of the state.’’

The commissioner, then, urged the Directors to note the Ministry work plan for study. Director of Tourism, Mr Emma Umeokana welcomed the commissioner to the Ministry. He showed him round the various offices and departments.
