In a landmark achievement for the Nigerian military and the academic community, Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Osichinaka Chiedu Ubadike has made history as the first serving officer of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) to be appointed to the rank of Professor, reports ITREALMS.

The historic appointment in Aerospace Engineering was recently confirmed by the Governing Council of the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna.

A renowned economist and management scholar with over three decades of experience in higher education and human capital development, Prof. Austin Nosike, has been appointed the substantive Vice Chancellor of James Hope University, Lekki-Lagos, reports ITREALMS.

The appointment, effective August 8, 2025, followed the approval of the University’s Board of Trustees after due consideration of recommendations from the Joint Governing Council, Senate, and Search Committee.
