AI Revolution: AIT president urges shift to ‘Sovereign Triple-L’ mindset to preserve professional relevance - ITREALMS

The President of the Accra Institute of Technology (AIT), Professor Clement K. Dzidonu, has called for a fundamental paradigm shift in how individuals, tertiary institutions, and industry approach talent development in the age of Artificial Intelligence (AI), reports ITREALMS.
Speaking during a recent graduation address, Professor Dzidonu argued that formal university degrees can no longer be treated as the terminal endpoint of education, warning that the traditional career trajectory is rapidly becoming obsolete under the pressure of automated systems and technological disruption.

To navigate this shifting landscape, the AIT President unveiled the concept of the “Sovereign Triple-L,” the Sovereign Lifelong Learner. He defined this as an individual who takes absolute personal ownership of their educational evolution, continuously renewing, deepening, and extending their technical and professional capabilities.

Professor Dzidonu noted that the historical model where individuals completed higher education, entered a sector, and relied on that single foundational body of knowledge for decades has collapsed, emphasizing that the future will increasingly belong to those who remain capable of learning what tomorrow requires.

A central component of the AIT President's thesis is the SEEK framework, which represents an individual's collective Skills, Expertise, Experience, Knowledge, and Know-how. In an AI-driven economy, professionals face what he terms the SEEK-Gap; the widening distance between an individual's current skillset and the rapidly evolving capabilities demanded by modern industries.

This shift introduces a paradoxical dynamic where the more you know, the less you know. Rather than suggesting that learning diminishes knowledge, Prof. Dzidonu explained that AI and emerging technologies are exponentially expanding the outer boundaries of what professionals are expected to master.

The core challenge is converting raw knowledge into Professional-SEEK-Capabilities, which are the integrated human skills required to execute complex problem-solving, exercise ethical judgment, innovate, and lead.

Addressing widespread industry anxieties regarding job displacement, Prof. Dzidonu cautioned against both technological fear and passive reliance on automated tools.

He argued that professionals must learn alongside AI while retaining strict human sovereignty over critical thinking and creative judgment. He stressed that the most useful question is not merely whether AI will make past learning obsolete, but how individuals will use AI, technology, experience, and continuous reflection to keep renewing what they are capable of doing.

To operationalize the Sovereign Triple-L mindset, Prof. Dzidonu outlined the OPD Perspective, that is, Opportunity, Possibility, and Difference.

This framework, he said, directs professionals to first reinterpret industry disruptions and complex workplace challenges as entry points for growth, then identify the precise new skills and technical know-how that can be extracted, and ultimately deploy those updated capabilities to generate tangible economic value, solve social challenges, and elevate institutional performance.

Prof. Dzidonu emphasized that while the Sovereign Triple-L mindset was articulated in the context of academic graduation, its execution is critical across the entire digital economy, framing graduation not as an endpoint, but as the beginning of a continuous process of capability development and professional becoming.

I am incredibly grateful to Priest Alaska for the guidance and encouragement he provided on my journey to winning the lottery. After learning about his work, I reached out to him, shared my hope of hitting the Mega Millions jackpot, and decided to give it a try. He gave me a combination of numbers and encouraged me to remain positive and hopeful. I bought my lottery ticket with those numbers and was absolutely overwhelmed when they actually matched the winning numbers. I won the Mega Millions jackpot of $50 million! It was an unforgettable, life-changing moment. I will always appreciate Priest Alaska's support. He can help you, too: send him an email at alaskaspellcaster44@gmail.com or contact him via WhatsApp at +233 59 274 5728.
