The high-level conference carries the theme “2027 Elections: Trust, Transparency and Shared Responsibilities,” and will commence at 10:00 a.m. at the Radisson Blu Hotel, located at 38–40 Isaac John Street, Ikeja GRA, Lagos.
The event will feature prominent figures across the public sector, legal landscape, and civil society, led by Keynote Speaker Prof. Joash Ojo Amupitan, SAN, Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The proceedings will be chaired by Dr. Olisa Agbakoba, SAN, Founding Partner of Olisa Agbakoba Legal (OAL) and former President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
To dissect critical issues surrounding the electoral framework, an expert panel has been assembled featuring CP Abayomi Shogunle, Commissioner of Police, Election Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Force Headquarters, Abuja; Prof. Tayo Popoola, Head of the Department of Mass Communication, University of Lagos; Adaora Onyechere Sydney-Jack, Creative Director of Gender Agenda and Founder of WEWE Network Afrique; and Lanre Arogundade, Executive Director of the International Press Centre.
According to the Deputy President of GOCOP and Chairman of the 2026 Conference Planning Committee, Mr. Olumide Iyanda, the landmark 10th edition aims to unite media executives, policymakers, academics, and security leaders to evaluate mutual accountabilities in fostering public confidence ahead of the 2027 general elections.
