The final burial arrangements for the late matriarch and foster mother of the Founder of Penpushing Media, Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji, have been announced by the family, reports ITREALMS.

The deceased, Dame Oreoluwa Kayode-Adedeji, MFR, who passed away peacefully on January 5, 2026, at the age of 84, will be laid to rest on Saturday, June 13, 2026, in her hometown of Ilesa, Osun State.

Paying tribute to her memory, the veteran journalist affirmed that his late foster mother contributed immensely to his positive developmental growth, noting that he will remain eternally grateful to her even in death.

According to a week-long burial program released by the Kayode-Adedeji family, the funeral events will officially commence on Monday, June 8, 2026, with a special tribute session organized by the management of Omotayo Maternity. The session, aimed at celebrating the deceased’s passions with friends and family, is scheduled to hold at the hall close to Omotayo Maternity in Oke-Ado, Ibadan, beginning at 12 noon.

The funeral proceedings will advance on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, when the remains of the matriarch arrive for a lying-in-state at the Omotayo Maternity reception between 9:00 am and 11:00 am. Later that evening, a service of songs will be conducted at her residence, located in the Oni and Sons area of Ibadan, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

On Thursday, June 11, 2026, a commendation service will be held at the Oke-Ado Methodist Church in Ibadan from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Following the service, the funeral train will move to her hometown, where a town rally and a lying-in-state will take place at Ilare-Ijesa, followed by a brief reception at her local residence. The body is scheduled to depart Ilare-Ijesa between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm, arriving at Imo, Ilesa, at approximately 6:30 pm.

The program further states that on Friday, June 12, 2026, a Christian wake-keep will be observed at Imo, Ilesa, between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm, drawing together church members, community leaders, and well-wishers.

The final home-going service will hold on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Methodist Church, Otapete, Ilesa, from 9:00 am to 12 noon. Immediately after the church service and interment, guests will be hosted to a grand reception to celebrate a life well-lived, scheduled to take place at the Zenababs Event Center, located within the Zenabab Half Moon Resort along Ijebu-Jesa Road, Ilesa, Osun State, starting from 1:00 pm.
