The Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Dr. Aminu Maida, has commissioned an innovative e-Health project at the State Specialist Hospital in Akure, Ondo State, reports ITREALMS.
In his speech, Dr. Maida emphasized the NCC's commitment to driving innovation and growth in Nigeria's digital economy. He highlighted the project's potential to improve healthcare delivery, streamline medical processes, and enhance patient care.
ITREALMS gathered that the e-Health project integrates advanced ICT solutions into healthcare, this enabling timely and accurate diagnoses, as healthcare professionals can deliver precise diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
Maida also noted that the project facilitates the efficient management of health records, reducing errors and improving patient care.
In addition, he said the e-Health platform makes healthcare services more accessible to all, regardless of geographical location of the state.
Further, Dr. Maida expressed gratitude to stakeholders who contributed to the project's realization, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and partnership in driving progress and innovation.
