According to reports available to ITREALMS, Oshiomhole arrived late for his 6:30 am flight to Abuja, and after being told he had missed his flight, he became aggressive and blocked the terminal's entrance, preventing other passengers from gaining entry.

The airline, Air Peace, condemned Oshiomhole's actions, stating that he physically assaulted their staff and forcefully barricaded the terminal's entrance, disrupting operations and affecting numerous travelers. They activated a contingency plan to board affected passengers through an alternate terminal.

ITREALMS gathered that many passengers and netizens expressed frustration and outrage over Oshiomhole's behavior, describing it as "VIP arrogance" and "impunity".

Some called for airport authorities to release CCTV footage and investigate the senator's actions.

In a statement, Oshiomhole claimed that the commotion was sparked by Air Peace's decision to prevent passengers from boarding while allegedly reselling seats at inflated prices to others on the spot. He narrated how he had checked in online and was denied boarding despite having no luggage.

The incident has sparked widespread criticism, with many Nigerians expressing disappointment over Oshiomhole's behavior. The senator has not publicly apologized or responded to the allegations, while Air Peace has reaffirmed its zero-tolerance stance on violence or aggression against its staff and passengers.
