Lagos SAT ends successful November coordination meeting - ITREALMS

The Lagos State Advocacy Team (SAT) of coalition of civil societies in the health sector has expressed determination towards an improved health care sector in relation to AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (ATM), reports ITREALMS.

The ATM coalition includes the Association of Civil Societies on Malaria, Immunisation and Nutrition (ACOMIN), TB Network, Network of Persons With HIV-AIDS in Nigeria (NEPWHAN).


Speaking at the advocacy visits on Tuesday, the Team Lead, Lagos State Advocacy Team (SAT) Mrs. Bunmi Tejumola, said the November 2022 coordination meeting was a success following the turn-out of members and enriched deliberations.

In addition, she told ITREALMS, the meeting was observed by two national represented from ACOMIN, so as to add value to the future engagements.

“This month, the ACOMIN national representatives were present to observe our meeting. They are, Mr. Olayinka O. Peter and Mrs. Bola Vaughan,” she said.

The November ATM monthly coordination meeting had in attendance some 15 ATM Community Based Organization, state stakeholders, and three ATM coordinators on C19RM/RSSH project, including the TB coordinator, Mrs Ifelunwa Aipoh and Mr Patrick Akpan, coordinator NEPWHAN, as well as the ATM Project Officer, Ms Tope James.

ITREALMS gathered that the monthly coordination meeting has top on agenda discussing project implementation, updates on issues identified at the Primary Health Cares (PHCs), whereas, those that have been resolved by CBOs and emerging issues as well.
