Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State
This call was made by a public analyst, Ozo (Engr) Patric Uwaezuoke Mba at the weekend, saying that as the bonafide Nigerians who pay their taxes and levies to the government especially of Lagos State, that they deserve some compensation including fire-fighting vehicles or facilities.
“Citizenship, is a relationship between an individual and a state, to which the individual owes allegiance and in turn, is entitled to it's protection and empathy,” he said.

Engr. Mba pointed out that it has become imperative that apart from the fundamental theorem of good governance, the government, at all levels, owe her bonafide citizens, empathy and protections, especially, in distressed circumstances, like the inferno, that engulfed part of Ladipo Auto Parts Market in Mushin last Friday.

Lagos State government, Mba said, owe the market some basic amenities needed to forestall, inimical occurrences, like fire fighting facilities, to counter occurrences, of this nature.

“I am therefore, calling on the Lagos State government, to show compassion and empathy, on these unfortunate Nigerians, that suffered this humongous loss, on their means of livilhood, by paying them, a solidarity and comforting visit, and assist in offsetting some of the debilitations,” he urged.

In addition, Mba called on other Igbo social cultural organizations and philantropists, to rally supports, for “these our devastated kinsmen, in their needy and hour of tribulation.”
