98% Generation Z uses technology for formal education - ITREALMS

ITREALMS:
Those born after the mid-1990s who are tech-savvy, digital natives to the core, also known as Generation Zers, have confirmed usage of technology as part of their formal education by 98 per cent, reports ITREALMS.

Latest 17-country research commissioned by Dell Technologies, post-millennials on those born after 1996; who have a deep, universal understanding of technology has shown potential to transform how we work and live.

The research noted that “They’re joining your workforce, they bring new skills, high expectations and a desire to shake things up.”

The survey of over 12,000 high school and college students in 17 countries revealed the younger generation’s outlook on technology and future jobs.

In addition, some 91 per cent said the technology offered by an employer will be a factor in choosing among similar job offers, stressing that 80 per cent want to work with cutting-edge technology.

And of those, ITREALMS reports that 38 per cent were interested in Information Technology (IT) careers, 39 per cent want to work in cybersecurity and 46per cent aspire to do technology research and development.

Equally, 80 per cent of these youngsters, believe technology and automation will create a more equitable work environment by preventing bias and discrimination.

ITREALMS further reports that overwhelmingly 89 per cent of them recognized that “we are entering the age of human-machine partnerships: 51 per cent of those surveyed believe that humans and machines will work as integrated teams, while 38 per cent see machines as tools for humans to use as needed.”
