Etisalat honours 2014 Pan-African Prize for Innovation winners



… With a reception
The two winners of 2014 edition of the Etisalat Pan-African Prize for Innovation, Messrs Anthony Oniwon and Abdulganiyu Onabanjo were hosted to a reception by Etisalat Nigeria in Lagos, ITRealms reports.

Also, ITRealms reported that the duo of Anthony Oniwon and Abdulganiyu Onabanjo were the developer of Exammate Application and the conceiver of Interactive Media Interface Design (IMID) receptively.

ITRealms gathered that the reception at the Intercontinental Hotel in Lagos, last weekend, saw the winners receiving prize cheques of $25,000 about N4,583,748.73 and $10,000, about N1,833,499.86 in that order.

ITRealms recalls that the winners were announced at the just concluded AfricaCom Awards Gala Dinner which held in Cape Town, South Africa, in November 2014.

Whereas ITRealms gathered the first prize of $25,000, for the Most Innovative Product or Service went to Exammate; an exam preparatory programme for JAMB candidates, the second prize of $10,000 for the Most Innovative Idea was presented to IMID, a remote communication interface for General Packet Radio Service (GPRS)-enabled pre-paid meters.

ITRealms recollects that the Etisalat Pan-African Prize for Innovation is a reflection of Etisalat’s reputation as the most innovative telecommunications brand in the country, aimed at encouraging and celebrating valuable innovation in the African market.
