eTranzact gets new pay off line

Remmy Nweke

MOBILE commerce facilitator, eTranzact Nigeria has introduced a new pay off line, “your easier way to pay”.

Chief executive, eTranzact, Mr. Valentine Obi said the latest pay off line is a reinstatement of his firm’s mission of assisting Nigerians to get more benefits from the ever-growing information and communication technology services.

Speaking at the introduction of the new pay off line, he noted that Nigeria’s push to becoming one of the fastest growing economies propelled by mobile commerce (mcommerce) is on the right track.

He said the growth of eTranzact in the last four years is in line with the tremendous progress achieved and adoption of communication and information technology tools and services by most Nigerians.

This, he said, is the backbone of the mcommerce economy, “where a lot more is achieved by leveraging on services at our disposal to create more value from these services. From the comfort of your home, office, or anywhere there is connectivity and the tools to connect, such as the mobile phone or computer, you can use eTranzact’s platform to transfer money, top up your phone, pay for utilities, and a whole lot more.”

Mr. Obi further pointed out that Nigerians have effectively left behind the days when they had to pass through harrowing conditions to do any of these things.

“The service offering on the eTranzact platform has been expanded to include the educational sector, where many Nigerian universities are using the platform to ease the way students perform their obligations, such as registering for courses, paying school fees, and many others,” he said.

eTranzact platform, the chief executive explained, is connected to most of the banks in the country and as such facilitates several service offering, such as funds transfer, point of sale terminals, automated teller machines, payment for goods and services, and topping up the airtime of phones, revenue collection for state governments and other organisations.

“What we have done is to bring the best of technological advances in mobile commerce and made it suitable to meet the challenges we face everyday in Nigeria,” said Folake Olabiyi, of eTranzact Business Unit.

According to her, the solutions have been developed with a special focus on enhancing the way Nigerians do business and live, in order to make life better as they carry out their chores.

She also said, “A parent transferring money from his phone to his child’s bank account, even on a weekend, is a unique innovation meant to address the challenges students face in receiving money from their parents, and also the difficulty parents’ face in sending money to their kid s at school.”

Aside from Nigeria, eTranzact, www.etranzact.com, has presence in Ghana, United Kingdom (UK), and Zimbabwe, offering different modules of mobile commerce solutions that readily transforms to benefits of technologies to its users.
