Irona not arrested by EFCC, aide says its phantom report - ITREALMS

The immediate past Deputy Governor of Imo State, Engr. Gerald Irona was not arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission-EFCC, says his media aide, Dr. Walter Duru, reports

According to him, their attention have been drawn to a malicious report on some online media platforms alleging that immediate past Deputy Governor of Imo State, Engr. Gerald Irona was arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission-EFCC.

The palace of the Ooni of Ife on Friday morning received with great concern, news of the reported killing of some persons numbering about five at Toro village, Ile-Ife, but insisted it has nothing to do with Ife and Modakeke dispute, reports 
ITREALMS.

ITREALMS in a press statement available that aside from condemning the unfortunate incident in strong terms, the Palace of the Ooni immediately reported the case to appropriate security authorities, who swung into action immediately.

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has charged a Dean in the University of Calabar, Prof. Francisca Ime Bassey, to court over her alleged involvement in N20.6 million contract fraud.

Prof. Bassey, who is the Dean and Director of the Pre-Degree Programme of the university, was arraigned at the Cross River State High Court Six, Calabar, by the Commission for allegedly holding private interests in multiple contracts awarded by the school to four companies directly owned by her.

Internet abuse and internet addiction are strong weapons that the enemy known as "satan" had planned to use to steal, kill and destroy the glorious future of many people in these last days.
It is no longer news in our society that we have multiple cases of children of the same parents having sex with each other, people having sex with animals, rape cases involving minors have also increased tremendously. It is very sad that youths of these days are desperate to become billionaires even while they are still in primary, secondary or tertiary institution because they believe this can be achieved through the internet. Internet abuse, particularly internet fraud is now the order of the day among youths in today's technology age.

Two years have gone, and it was just like yesterday, President Muhammadu, approved the appointment of Malam Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, a Massachusetts Institute of Technology, trained IT expert, as the Director General, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), following the elevation of the then Director General, Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim (Pantami), to the position of Minister of Communications, which was his ministry later re-designated to Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy.
With his appointment, it is heartwarming to note that growing corps of well-educated, world class technocrats are coming to the public domain to help change the narrative in public service.

The Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mallam Mele Kyari, has charged members of the Board of the NNPC Greenfield Refinery Limited (NGRL), to explore all available options to bring an end to the current challenge of petroleum products importation, reports
